Al Ahli Başkanı Ahmad Ali Al Sayegh, ödemeleri konusunda problem yaşadıkları Josef de Souza için Fenerbahçe Başkanı Ali Koç ile bir görüşme yaptı ve sorunun ortadan kalktığı açıklandı.

Al Ahli kulübünün resmi sitesinden yapılan açıklamada, “Al Ahli yönetimi, Fenerbahçe tarafından açılan şikayet dosyasını sonlandırmıştır” ifadeleri kullanıldı. Öte yandan açıklamada Ali Koç ile İstanbul’da yapılan görüşmenin sonucunda FIFA’nın ceza ihtimalinin de artık olmadığı kaydedildi.

2018 yılında 12 milyon euro bonservis bedeliyle Al Ahli’ye transfer olan Josef de Souza için sarı-lacivertliler ödemelerini almadığı için Nisan ayında FIFA’ya başvurma kararı almıştı.
