ABD Kadın Futbol Milli Takımı‘nın, erkek milli takımı ile eşit ücret alma talebi mahkeme tarafından reddedildi. Detaylar haberimizde.

Son dönemde kadın ve erkek futbolcuların maaşları arasındaki eşitsizlik sık sık gündeme gelirken, ABD Kadın Futbol Milli Takımı bu konuda ABD Futbol Federasyonu‘na (USSF) dava açtı.

Milli takımda forma giyen 28 kadın futbolcu; Eşit Ücret Yasası uyarınca 66 milyon Dolar (52.8 milyon Sterlin) tazminat istiyordu.

“Şok ve hayal kırıklığına uğradık”

Futbolcular adına konuşan Molly Levinson, karara itiraz etmeyi planladıklarını söyleyerek, “Şok ve hayal kırıklığına uğradık. Eşit ücret için sıkı çalışmalarımızdan vazgeçmeyeceğiz. Bizim durumumuzdan eminiz ve bu sporu oynayan kız ve kadınların cinsiyetlerinden dolayı daha az değer biçilmemesini sağlama taahhüdümüzde kararlıyız” ifadelerini kullandı.
