Sezon başında Fenerbahçe’den Olympiakos’a transfer olan Emmanuel Emenike burada da tutunamamış ve devre arası Las Palmas’a transfer olmuştu.

Disiplinsiz tavırlarıyla gittiği her kulüpte yeni bir skandala imza atan Emmanuel Emenike, Las Palmas yöneticilerini de çıldırttı. Uzun süredir sakatlığını öne süren Nijeryalı futbolcu son olarak antrenman esnasında yaptığı hareketle herkesi şaşırttı.

Emenike’nin, “Uykum var. Antrenmana devam etmek istemiyorum” diyerek antrenmanı yarıda bıraktı. Nijeryalı futbolcunun, teknik direktörün yanıtını beklemeden tesisleri terk ettiği belirtildi. Las Palmas yönetiminin 31 yaşındaki futbolcuya ağır ceza vermesi bekleniyor.
